Notice of the Consulate General in Toronto on the Increase of Document Consultation Lines
2021/07/29
Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the Consulate General has done its utmost to provide consular document services. In response to the significant increase in document-related inquiries by compatriots in the consular area, the consulate-general has extended the current manual answering time of the current Chinese citizen’s document consulting hotline to 4.5 hours per working day starting from January 18 this year. In order to continue to provide document consulting services, the Consulate General will add a temporary document consulting line from July 30. The document consulting channels after the line is opened are as follows:

   1. The Consultation Hotline for Chinese Citizen Certificates of the Consulate General: +1-416-929-8008, with manual answering from 09:30-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 on weekdays.

  2. Consultation Hotline for Chinese Citizen Certificates of the Consulate General (temporary): +1-437-346-0922, 09:30-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 on weekdays will be answered manually.

  3. Consultation email address of the Consulate General: [email protected].

  4. Foreign nationals in the consular area apply for Chinese visas and consular authentication: please send an email to the Toronto Chinese Visa Application Center [email protected] for consultation.

Due to the large number of applications for licenses issued by mail recently, in order to meet the requirements of compatriots in the consular district during the epidemic period, the staff of the consulate general will concentrate on processing the applications and send the completed licenses as soon as possible. Please send the tracking number in the self-addressed envelope to check the progress. If you do not receive the completed documents 5 weeks (passport application) or 3 weeks (travel permit application) after the appointment date, you can call or email to check.

Thanks to the compatriots in the consular district for their understanding and support for the document work of the Consulate General!
